Ramadan 1447H at KLG: Strengthening Faith and Brotherhood Among Foundation Students

Ramadan 1447H at KLG for Foundation (Asasi) students was filled with spiritually enriching and community-centered programs that strengthened both faith and brotherhood. Throughout the month, students actively participated in structured Quranic learning sessions, tazkirah, and communal iftar gatherings held at Surau KLG Residence. The initiatives were carefully planned to help students balance their academic commitments while deepening their spiritual connection during Ramadan.

One of the key highlights was the Mini Ramadan Quran Project, led by Dr. Nabil, Fellow of KLG Residence. The program encouraged students to set personal Quranic goals such as completing selected surahs, ¼, ½, or a full juz’, while improving memorization, tilawah, and tajweed mastery. The sessions were conducted on Friday and Saturday (online) and Sunday (physical class) at Surau KLG Residence, allowing flexible participation while maintaining consistency. This initiative significantly strengthened students’ engagement with the Qur’an throughout the month.

In addition to Quranic learning, students attended tazkirah sessions that emphasized unity, sincerity in worship, discipline, and strengthening bonds among believers. These reminders created a reflective atmosphere and encouraged students to appreciate the true spirit of Ramadan beyond physical fasting.

As part of the Ramadan programs, the Iftar Bersama-Sama: Iftar Perdana was also successfully organized on 27 February at KLG, bringing together students for a larger community fast-breaking session. The menu featured Nasi Masak Ayam Merah and Air Oren, and the event was inspired by the Quranic verse from Surah Al-Hujurat (49:10): “The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy.” The gathering truly reflected the message of strengthening unity and compassion within the KLG community.

Overall, Ramadan 1447H at KLG was a meaningful journey of spiritual growth, discipline, and brotherhood for the Foundation students. Through Quranic engagement, reflective reminders, and communal iftar gatherings, the students experienced a balanced and impactful Ramadan that nurtured both their spiritual development and their sense of community within KLG.
