Invitation to Exhibit at IIB Innovation Day 2024

Dr. Mohd Amri has been invited to participate as an exhibitor at the IIB Innovation Day 2024, which will be held on 13th November 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at A18, Medini 9, Iskandar Puteri, Johor. The event is organized by Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) to showcase innovative solutions, foster collaboration, and engage with IIB staff, leadership, and key stakeholders.

During the event, Dr. Amri will present the Smart Bee Trap, an IoT-based system aimed at enhancing stingless bee conservation. His research focuses on sustainable stingless beekeeping and the integration of IoT (Internet of Things) for environmental monitoring. The Smart Bait Box is an innovative system that utilizes sensors to track bee colony behavior, allowing for better hive management and reducing reliance on conventional methods of wild hive relocation.

Dr. Amri also shared the story about the involment in the Kelestarian Ekosistem Kelulut & Alam Lestari (KEKAL) project, which is a collaboration with the Felda Tenggaroh 7 community. This initiative promotes sustainable stingless bee farming, aiming to boost local economies while increasing awareness of environmental conservation. Through community engagement and training, participants will learn sustainable beekeeping techniques, ensuring long-term benefits for both biodiversity and economic sustainability.

The IIB Innovation Day will feature innovation kiosks, where exhibitors will have the opportunity to present their solutions. Key benefits for exhibitors include brand exposure, networking opportunities, live demonstrations, and educational outreach. The event will also provide a platform for discussion on sustainability, urban farming, and biodiversity conservation.

By participating in IIB Innovation Day 2024, Dr. Amri will contribute to advancing smart agriculture, pollination sustainability, and community-based conservation efforts, highlighting the economic and ecological potential of stingless beekeeping.
