Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
Dear respected staff, fellow, assistant fellow, and residents of Kolej Dato’ Onn Jaafar,
As we gather here today, we stand in the aftermath of the holy month of Ramadan. We have been blessed with the opportunity to fast, pray, and give to those in need. We have been given the chance to purify our souls and seek forgiveness from Allah (SWT). And as we enter the month of Shawwal, we are reminded of the coming of Eid al-Fitr.
Let us take a moment to reflect on the blessings that we have been bestowed with. The past month has been a time of self-reflection, self-control, and a deeper connection with Allah (SWT). We have come together as a community to break our fast and to celebrate our unity in faith. The KDOj iftar and other activities from the ISS have brought us closer together and given us the opportunity to strengthen our bonds.
As we celebrate Eid al-Fitr, let us remember those who are less fortunate than us. Let us remember the orphans, the widows, and those who are struggling to make ends meet. Let us reach out to them and offer them our support and love. Let us also take a moment to remember our loved ones who have passed away and pray that Allah (SWT) has placed them in Jannah.
We are grateful to Allah (SWT) for the opportunity to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. We are grateful for our health, our families, and our community. Let us celebrate this blessed occasion with full enthusiasm and joy. May Allah (SWT) shower his blessings upon us and our families, and may He grant us the strength and guidance to continue the path of righteousness.
In conclusion, let us continue to hold fast to the teachings of Ramadan and carry them with us throughout the year. Let us continue to give to those in need, seek forgiveness from Allah (SWT), and work towards becoming better versions of ourselves.
Taqabalallahu minna wa minkum. Eid Mubarak!
